T.D. Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 The "Earthquake Mass" is an excellent piece! This disc could have been mentioned in the Dufay/Josquin thread. Quote

T.D. Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 Disc 2. I'll probably get flamed in some sectors for listening to this, but I wanted to compare versions (TS and Huelgas Ens.) of Brumel's "Earthquake Mass". Quote

Olie Brice Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 Been quite obsessed with the two Janacek string quartets recently. The version I've got is wonderfully played by the Janacek Quartet (who should know what they're doing with this music...) but on a quite noisy old LP, would like to add a good CD version to my collection. Any recommendations? Quote
