what a privilage !

It definitely was .... btw gave a much better understanding how classical musicians practice, how much discipline is requiered and that often the pent up tension/stress is alleviated via exuberance .....

To Auryn performing the euvre of Haydn (released on Tacet) 😎 ....

I'm actually making my way, intermittently and somewhat out of order, through all of them now.  I'm still a physical-product guy, so I take 'em one CD (or  CD-set) at a time.  It really is an amazing body of work--for Papa Joe, for the Auryn Quartet, and for Tacet!

Obviously not the way you would expect to hear these Mozart compositions - but it`s Valery Afanassiev and to me one of the few classical artists who allows himself a lot of room for interpretation resulting in faszinating music .... btw still available via CDjapan ....

Last round for today .... originally released on the obscure Urtext label and reissued on Camerata .... Vladimir Feltsman delivers a marvelous Bach Partitas rendition .... belongs to the best available (on piano) ....

Absolutely beautiful with just four strings (the way it was originally performed by the composer) and a piano owned by one of Chopin's pupils!
