"A Touch Of The Blues" is nearly as good - never out on CD (unfortunately) .... I`m still wondering about the existence of the original tapes/recordings for "Black Glory" where a great version of "Rock My Soul" is -just as Jimmy Woode starts soloing -faded ....years ago I`ve tried to get feedback from the former Enja co-owners but sadly resulting in no further enlightment .... Excellent Waldron fest recently, soulpope! Listening tonight to: The Duke Plays Ellington Cecil Payne - Bright Moments Earl Hines - Paris One Night Stand Quote

jlhoots Posted November 8, 2018 Report Posted November 8, 2018 Amazon says it's a CD-R. Is that an issue?? O.K. - now I see copies from "sellers" that apparently are "real" CDs. A little pricey. Quote

Gheorghe Posted November 8, 2018 Report Posted November 8, 2018 Can´t post the pic now, but I´ve been listenig to Sonny Rollins´ "Roadshows Vol. 1" again. I like very much the quartet performances with Marc Soskin, Jerome Harris and Al Foster. This was a tight working unit and they toured much and I saw them in that formation. Only the last track "Enchanting Evening" seems to lack inspiration and fire. I´ve heard it was the 50´s anniversary of Rollins at Carnegie Hall, but something went wrong that evening. The other newer tracks from 2000-2006 are very fine. Quote
