There was a good anthology of previously unreleased Monk material on Columbia that had liner notes by Adams.

Cold out there this morning. Slept well thanks to those hours of fresh air at the rally in Mentor.

Starting off with Chet Baker Quartet “Live Volume 2: Out of Nowhere” Pacific Jazz cd

Chet wth Russ Freeman, Bob Neel, Carson Smith, recorded in Los Angeles and Santa Cruz 1954

[jazzbo]

On to the sultry covered Les Jazz Modes release, “Mood in Scarlet” on Dawn/Blue Moon cd

Rouse, Watkins, Mahones–you can’t go wrong. And that oh-so-fifties sound.

When I posted this, I hadn't realised that Irving Fields had in fact record for Tzadik later in his life.

Currently streaming this:

Actually quite a fun record with a big mixed up band. There's another one that attempts to reprise Bongos and Bagels but less successful
