That was lovely but I was falling asleep. Waking myself up now with this cd recorded on the largest existing organ built by my great great great great great grandfather David Tannenberg.

Disc 5 now.

Miles Davis "Complete On the Corner Sessions"

Just been listening to disk 5 of that set. The final track, ā€˜Minnie’, is very much in a pop vein and indicates quite a bit of continuity to the music of the comeback years.

Yes, interesting tune. I wish more material from the "dormant" period after this would come out.

Right now

A tremendous recording. Real and present sounding.

Very cool.Ā  How did you come to know this interesting fact?Ā  Did you learn it yourself through geneological research? Or has the knowledge been passed down through your family?

I only ask because my mom has been doing quite a bit of family ancestry research lately.Ā  Just the other day, she told me that we are direct decendants of one of the Governors of the Massachusetts Bay colony. We had no idea.

I listened to this CD and was totally floored by this Martin Denny track.Ā  It's performed in an MJQ vein (I wonder who the vibist was here) and really rather lovely, not what I would have expected from Martin Denny
