Brad
Can’t see it. Rather see the Celtics in the final. They might have a shot against the Rockets. Against the Warriors, none. Edited May 27, 2018 by Brad

Good accomplishment, but what does that make Bill Russell's eleven championship rings in thirteen years of playing?
Brad
I don’t know if you can compare them because they’re different eras.
paul secor
People can talk about different eras, but no one has done what Russell did in any era.
felser
Understood, but Russell had some really good teams around him also. LeBron is a one-man-team in the playoffs this year. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ftw/2018/05/06/snl-roasts-lebrons-teammates-in-hilarious-sketch-about-the-other-cavaliers/111160618/
Brad
As Felser points out, Lebron has had some lesser players around him (except in Miami). That’s why I think it’s remarkable what he’s done this year. I thought they were going out in the first round.

I saw a headline last night that claimed James had now tied Russell for consecutive Finals appearances, but Russell had ten (1957-1966) to James' eight to date. Soulstation1
LBJ couldn’t make it 8 straight out of the western conference

paul secor
Wild finish. And J.R. Smith adds more idiocy to his resume.
Brad
What was J.R. thinking. Not too much, apparently. As a Knicks fan, only too familiar with his nuttiness. This was a game the Cavs could have won, probably should have won.

Patrick
Definitely frustrating for Cavs fans. For me, it was more the officiating in the last minute. Charging call on Durant should not have been reversed. Just appreciating the greatness of LeBron, and he managed to play less than 46 (which has started to become customary). It didn't even look that hard for him (in contrast to Indy and Boston). JR does have knucklehead tendencies, but he was a key component of the championship they won. For J.R., being a knucklehead isn't a tendency. It's a way of life.
Brad
So true. Maybe he should have untied Curry's sneakers. With JR, sometimes brilliant, sometimes goofy. He will bite you in the end. Edited June 1, 2018 by Brad
