felser Posted September 27, 2019 Report Posted September 27, 2019 Wounded Bird has just reissued CD's of the Elvin Jones albums recorded on Vanguard in the mid-70's (in roughly descending order from my decades-old memories: "New Agenda", "The Main Force", "Time Capsule", "Summit Meeting"). They previously reissued the Elvin Jones/Oregon album along with their other Vanguard Oregon titles. Not essential Elvin, but I'll pick up most of them. Quote

I knew those records from when they were new, and I'd be more inclined to buy them in a cost-effective bundle than as 4 single CDs. Nothing really "wrong" with the music, not that, it's more the production/assembly of the programs for the records, seems like it could have been tighter or something. Anyway...Wounded Bird certain finds their niche and fills it well. Kudos to them! Quote
