Bol Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 I see that some of the records I want are issued by VMP ("Vinyl Me Please"). What do people think about these issues in general? Quote
Dub Modal Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 I have a couple of them purchased 2nd hand and the pressings are good. The ones I have are Byrd's Fancy Free and the JM's Freedom Rider. Quote
Pim Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 I don’t have any but for what I’ve heard they are mostly good. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Like most reissue labels, they are at the mercy of the labels. If they are sent a good tape or digital file to cut from, they're fine; if not, they sound terrible. Quote
Dub Modal Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Hearing they just let their subscribers know they filed for bankruptcy. So probably no new releases forthcoming. Quote
Brad Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago I have several and they are very good. 1 hour ago, Dub Modal said: Hearing they just let their subscribers know they filed for bankruptcy. So probably no new releases forthcoming. They didn’t file for bankruptcy; they assigned their assets to their creditors and whoever now holds their assets is looking for a buyer. It’s a little similar to bankruptcy but different. At any rate, the company is probably finished. It was good while it lasted. Quote
