One of my favorites of the numerous pairings of Hellborg and Lane. If you haven't listen to Temporal Analogues of Paradise... I am really enjoying the Kenny Werner, interesting and well done arrangements of well known standards and everybody's playing is excellent. I love what he does with Blue Train and Fall. I wish I had picked it up earlier. As for the Zen House I went into it blind based on a friends recommendation and I love it. mjzee Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 Two little pieces of trivia: 1) I bought the Joe Henderson Milestone box cheap, and the track "Power To The People", originally from the album "Black Narcissus", was defective. I thought I could just replace the track with a downloaded version from eMusic. Well, eMusic doesn't have the album, and neither do iTunes or Amazon downloads. 2) The Track "Power To The People" is on the album "Black Narcissus," and the track "Black Narcissus" is on the album "Power To The People." I bought the CD up in Canada years ago and always thought very highly of it. Nothing earth shattering, just a consistently well done set of music. Up over and out. Just a nice mix. Some pretty fair sidekicks on board as those things go; Jerry Dodgion, Barry Harris, Rufus Reid and Ben Riley. Recommended. Up over and out.
