Get on line early and when asked where you want to sit, walk right up to the seat behind the piano. It's actually better to sit just right of the piano so you can watch his hands. I've sat against the wall right next to the piano the two times I've been to the Village Vanguard (to see Harold Mabern and Tom Harrell). It would've been something sitting there for Barry, too.
