I have never understood why a discussion about earth's changing climate would ever be considered political. It's a scientific discussion, not a political one.

My first box sets were classical LP boxes. I think they were Time/Life boxes... one was maybe a Beethoven box? My first Jazz box sets were my first order from Mosaic. I know that the Tina Brooks box was in that order. Maybe the Freddie Redd CD box as well.

Any Coltrane is good for me but I am still hoping most for later period Trane.

I’ve added this to my wantlist. I now realize I’ve seen Jaribu Shahid perform with David Murray at the Bimhuis quite a while ago. 

COLD. I’m getting used to it, especially when it’s not snowing. Lots of snow, over a foot, everywhere I haven’t shoveled, and on all the trees. BEAUtiFUL. I’m listening to John Coltrane “Crescent” Impulse Japan SHM-SACD, an amazing mastering of this classic material.
