If you are interested in Hill as a composer, I think the disc is very interesting. I dismissed the record long ago but have reconsidered.
Don't blame the label for following the artist's wishes.
Chewy got a used disc without the slipcase and 96 page booklet.
Hadley was interviewed a couple of times because he was around at the time and was playing with most of the participants in other bands.
The "voice over" on the rehearsal was done in real time by Ralph Manza. Manza was the source of the recording - it was made in the actor's home. This is the best photo I could find on the net. He was probably best known for his role on the tv show Banacek.
Hank did 'em. Can't do better than that. Why do we need some "validation" by recordings by others?
I'm more than tired of current "artists" building careers by mining the '50s and '60s.
Celebrate the triumphs of the past and move on.
Suck what?
Sorry Chuck, I forgot you were from the midwest. "Does it suck" roughly means "Is it bad."
Knew that. Thought it might suck pond scum.
OTOH, out here in the midwest we have females willing to ....
Blow, is just a figure of speech.
