  1. Thanks for the listing Margaret. Sorry I missed you in Chicago. Arrived late on Sunday and couldn't get in. Had a couple of good days in the Delmark studio and Steve gave me a full report. I hope some of Henry's performance can be included.
  2. Pitch, like time is variable and just another tool for personal expression.
  3. I bought the office suite from Jobs when I ordered my iMac.
  4. Have to admit not listening since the early '70s. I believe I had it on Argo at the time. I went through a fairly long Tippett phase in the '70s and '80s but it faded away. Only have a few discs on cd and a favorite is a BBC mag issue of 2 symphonies conducted by the composer. He's not well respected as a conductor but I like these recordings a bunch. Also have at least one cd of his piano concerto - interesting work.
  5. ECM does not own those Giuffre dates. They licensed them from Universal/Verve.
  6. Spring 2009, issue #53 has more Lowe(s) on page 35. I am waiting to see if he gets a hat trick.
  7. Different Dave Young. That Dave Young was from Chicago and played with Roy, the Hendersons, Lucky Millinder, etc.
  8. Better go with the Shatner.
  9. "Life is Total" seems like a cereal lawsuit in the making.
  10. Bob Steele Roy Rogers Don "Red" Berry
  11. Not essential.
  12. Just don't make a habit of it!
  13. Linda Hunt Linda Lovelace Lovelady Powell
  14. Very sorry to hear that. You are already missed.
  15. She had you sleeping on plastic sheets, didn't she.
  16. Deborah Paget Little Debbie Tiny Little
  17. Charles Laughton Elsa Lancaster Elsie the Cow
  18. The photo is stolen and the design is copped from the Legacy Monk in Tokyo set. Can't these folks do anything original??
  19. Yup. No other Sackvilles on the label. Sackville decided they could not reissue it for technical reasons and returned the tapes to Roscoe. Have no idea about the processing of the recordings but a bunch of tape print was on the masters. It can be corrected but takes a lot of time and patience.
  20. I can remember the name Winky Dink and You, but I must not have liked the show, because I can't remember watching it. I did the whole deal. You ordered a set which consisted of a translucent green plastic sheet and a bunch of fat crayons. The plastic was placed on the tv screen and you followed the lines with the crayons. My first experience with "interaction" and the media.
  21. Since we are into the "art world", does any member have experience with Winky Dink?
