  1. I would make insist Bertrand stand.
  2. I have his head in my freezer. There, I've said it and I don't care WHO knows! What will you use for gravy?
  3. I prefer the oregano.
  4. Athearn is the way to go. I'm down to Atlas.
  5. I haven't heard that in twenty years! Sounds about right. Keep it up.
  6. Probably didn't like few/no solos and lame paycheck. An old sideman story.
  7. Our son Eric is chef at a restaurant in Buffalo. They serve dinner and there are no salt or pepper shakers on the table.
  8. Is he the guy with the trains?
  9. I've ignored this thread for a while 'cause I don't want to offend some friends but checking the current page to get the tenor of the arguement, clementine's above statement caught my attention and prompted a response. UNFORTUNATELY, all scenes suck more than they don't. Never forget to wade thru the ephemera to get to the real deal. Part of the journey and the results are worthwhile.
  10. By being right. Twice as right as a 12 year old.
  11. Shoot the fuckers down. All of a sudden I want to exercise my right to bear arms and have a missle aimed at the sky.
  12. Vibes, if God wants you to go blind, go blind.
  13. Season 3 was the best. The master speaks.
  14. Much better than that in my book.
  15. Still trying to fill some gaps created by the sale of the bulk of my lps. Now concentrating on old Fantasy reissues. Mose Allison, Lockjaw, Moondog, etc.
  16. Spend Rooster's contribution on beer and wings.
  17. Perhaps this might be part of the "problem"? And it's a problem for.......................
  18. Gonna have the last bowl of corned beef chowder. Corn, potatoes, broth, milk, herbs, spices and corned beef. Nice way to polish off the leftovers.
  19. Orpheum only produced/distributed a few lps on their own and quickly made a manufacturing/marketing deal with ABC.
  20. The credit on the cover reads Miles/Parry so I'd guess Parry took the shot.
  21. Not disputing that but was reacting to the other part of your initial post. Just saying he did take cover photos for BN and he did cover designs for other labels.
  22. Its still his designs, not his photography, that makes it a "Reid Miles" cover. How many BNs don't include Frank Wolff photos or one of those model shots? First things that pop into my head, Miles shot some of the Andrew Hill cover photos AND those model shots.
  23. You can probably credit Goddard Lieberson and the "tone" he set by his hirings.
  24. Miles did cover photography for BN and Prestige.
