...I think they have me producing a 1920s session
Are you saying that wasn't you??
-
I second that.
-
Although a search of the Black Saint / Soul Note site still lists no North American distributor.
Hmmm...
DMG probably imported these CDs themselves.
-
The Columbias have good sound quality, but I am told that the recent Frog (UK) releases--remastered by R. T. Davies--are even better.
Confirmed - John R.T. Davies has done another remarkable job.

Mike (xricci),
Like JSangry, I too don't want to drag this issue out any further, but you have yet to explain why, or better yet apologize for censoring my post in AAJ.
Randy,
AAJ is Mike Ricci's board and in my opinion he can do what he likes with it, whether you and I agree / like it or not.

Black Fire is brilliant and comes close in overall "feeling" but is not a feature for Henderson but rather for Hill.
You're absolutely right; I included it for the very reason you mentioned.

...The message said, "We're going to be out of town for a week so please leave a message."
Hmm, quite amateurish, wouldn't you say?

Claude
Where did you find these?
5) Cecil Taylor - The World Of Cecil Taylor (Candid TECW-20594, limited LP style paper sleeve edition, Hi-Bit-Hyper mastering) $23
... and the Candid reissues in general (Cecil Taylor, Mingus)
4) Cecil Taylor - Looking Ahead! (Contemporary VICJ-2168, 20bit K2 mastering) $21
As Lon says the Miles sounds fantastic!
Mny,
The Japanese Candids were reissued in November 2001 and November 2002, and some of them are now pretty hard to get.
The Victor 20-bit K2 VICJ-2000 series (jewel cases) was released before their VICJ-60000 series (mini-LP sleeves), but many of those discs are still available, i.e. Hiroshi Tanno could still get them for me, at least until recently.
-
Claude,
Just sent you a PM.
-
Great news, especially the Mulligan and Amy sets! Thanks for posting this, Brad.

One of my Japanese sources told me Toshiba would be reissuing 100 JRVGs over the next few months, but I understand from your post that they decided not to do so.
They will still release the 100 "new" JRVG titles over the next 10 months. However, as of last week, they had not decided to re-release any titles from the original JRVG series after TOCJ 9029.
Got it!

I tried to go to my post at AAJ and wanted to add a reply requesting an explanation for why my original post was edited and couldn't get in! My username and password did not work...Very strange!!
What did you do to get banned??
Why don't you e-mail moderator xricci and ask him what's going on and why they are acting like this?
-
Grey, you're pretty busy posting on your first day here Great to see you!
One of my Japanese sources told me Toshiba would be reissuing 100 JRVGs over the next few months, but I understand from your post that they decided not to do so. Apparently the bad economic situation in Japan is hitting them hard...
-
And I'm still missing the "thumbs up" smilie...
-
Hi Grey, good to see you here - finally
-
Interesting point....but I'm wondering if we might get a more accurate figure if we go ahead and subtract the 85 times that Hans clicked onto his own thread over the course of the day?

Enjoy it while it lasts--it is undoubtedly the calm before the storm!
I just hope you'll keep the predicted storm within the political forum...
-
And Jimmy, if you want a response to the chickenshit you posted, by all means, please come to the political threads also. However, we're housebroken here. We try to keep the political crap on that forum specifically. If that seems a bit too difficult for you, this may not be the place to post...
I second that!

If my memory serves me right, LeMo is from Belgium.
