  1. Good stuff, Lon. I've played "If Ever I Would Leave You" fairly recently also (I've always liked Joshua Breakstone's version on Contemporary). If I go too long without listening to good music (or playing my guitars), I can too easily get absurdly bad things stuck in my head. It doesn't necessarily even require extended exposure (in fact, I really wish I hadn't read the comment above about "Yummy Yummy Yummy"...)
  2. 2004 thread Bernstein turned up on several tracks in Mike Weil's recent blindfold test (#66), so you may also wish to read that discussion thread. Bernstein has been around for a long time now, and I think he's become quite an influence on a lot of young players. Solo guitar is not something I've heard much from him, but I've never seen him in person. I have no doubt that he's a fine solo player... like a lot of other past greats who rarely were recorded in that setting. It's unfortunate that this aspect of guitar playing has always been more difficult to market.
  3. In case anybody's interested, I found this image online...
  4. Just popping back in to offer a belated thanks again to Mike. I still haven't had time to go back and listen again with the revealed data above in mind, but I intend to do that soon. I'm both surprised and not surprised to see Peter Bernstein's name appearing as many times as it does. He gets around even more than I realized.
  5. Did you find anything yet, Lon? I'm no Fender expert (I didn't realize there was more than one size for Teles in general), but I would think it shouldn't be too difficult to track one of those down.
  6. Richard Dawson Kiss Reggie Tongue
