I know there's been interest in Jay Migliori on the board. Rather than lament over an unobtainable Transition date, I'm enjoying "Equinox". It's a newly released recording from 1984 that features Jay on tenor, Conte Condoli on trumpet, Joe Lettieri on piano, Jim Crutcher on bass, and Chiz Harris on drums. Omnivore OV-513. Listen on Spotify.
I have some doubts whether you'd really like this, Kev. It's fairly out there at times, and there's no horn. I suggest listening to it on Spotify a few times before you decide.
Subtle on top, with lots of interesting things going on beneath the surface. 👍
I have a recording of a live solo concert at the New England Repertory Theater in 1979. Now that's subtle and sublime.

Jim recently locked a similar news thread because of political content. He create this one for the weird and funny. Why do you have to make a political comment like this?
You must be proud. The sources you normally quote attack the press on a regular basis. They're labeled "fake news", "lame-stream media" and "the enemy of the people," etc. All in the name of fostering mistrust in our institutions.

So many great tunes - easy to sing, interesting to play. RIP, sir.
