  1. Damn. Loved his early albums and the comeback ones too.
  2. Kent Carter - It Will Come [Le Chant Du Monde, France 1979] Listening and wondering whether Carter ever made a disappointing album. Can't think of one.

  8. No, I didn't. my initial question was very much meant in jest, I hope you realise. I'm not a connoisseur so I've not knowingly tasted Ceylon. It's very much the bog standard cuppa for me, staple hereabouts. i suspect your more finessed approach pays greater rewards. If I can be of help tracking Ceylon for you do say
  9. You're doing it right if that's how you enjoy it. Here most people will take their tea, especially breakfast tea, with milk - a good old fashioned English cuppa. Sweetened, if at all, by sugar. Tradition would have it, and my dear departed grandma too, that it's best made in a teapot, initially warmed with boiling water. And that the milk is added to the cup first. Personally it's a tea bag in the mug, brewed for a few minutes, stirred and milk added. Bob's your uncle, as we'd say

  13. Thank you for articulating my thoughts on this so concisely. I've been trying to work out to say that this release is less about the studio release than all the press suggests.
  14. I'm glad That wine shop isn't easily accessible to me, could be very disastrous. Flashback used to be my local but more recently I find them very hit and miss. Sounds like you hit nicely
  15. I didn't know this was up for reissue, thanks for posting Pim. I only know it by reputation. @clifford_thorntonis your man for more knowledge I suspect
  16. Another Audio Technica stylus fluid user here
  17. Do tell, what and where? Cutting down collection - admirable intention, rarely achieved, I'd say
  18. There are some great GDR Free Jazz albums, Big Beat Steve has pointed you in the right direction with respect to leading artists. FMP and Amiga are the labels to start with Knowing king ubu I'd say there's a very heavy dose of humour in that post
  19. Both excellent. They've done a good job

  21. Takeru Muraoka Quartet - Takeru [Superfly, 2021 RP]
