Hang in there man. One of my best friends died in 1984 and I still find myself missing him. But I can usually tell some humorous story from when he and I were young and that usually helps to bring a smile to my face and lets me know that he is still there with me.

Earlier this year I found some mouse calling cards in the bread drawer. This is the bottom drawer in my kitchen. I figured that my cat Max wasn't earning his keep and set a spring trap in the drawer. I went out and when I came back that night, I heard a noise coming from the drawer. Max had come in with me and came over to investigate along with me. There was the mouse caught but not killed, jumping all over and making a lot of noise. I thought "now what? Guess I'll have to brain him with a shovel" and then I looked down at Max and thought "Ah what the heck". Outside we went, I opened the trap and that mouse shot off like a rocket with Max right on his tail. After much kitty glee, he killed the little bugger and then wanted back in the house. He then headed right back over to the bread drawer as if he was waiting for another "treat". Alas, he left emptied paw.

Could somebody please give me and explanation of the NYT discription of the band from todays paper? It reads: Organissimo This Michigan based organ trio resurrects the sound of 1960's soul jazz but with a touch liss grit and grease; the members appear here in support of a lieable new album,"This is the Place" (Big O). I'm confused over the "less grit and grease" line. Help.

I joined up after Randy reccomened I check it out so as to up to date on the bands playing schedule. I lurked for awhile because I was so blown away by the knowledge that so many have here and I was afraid I would look like a fool. But then I noticed that everybody gets the pretty much the same amount of derision and so here I am basking the glory of all this greatness.

Its Friday, anybody have a suggestion for meeting before the show? I only know of a few places by name but can find my way around just fine. The Arbor Brewing Co. on Washington just east of Main has pretty good pub food and some great beer. Its a little north and west of Hill auditorium though. Any other suggestions? Don

Very cool Soulstream! When I was down in Austin back in May I looked into going to the Continental Club as it seemed like a cool place to go, but if I remember right it was a country act and so I just drove on by instead. Too bad it hadn't been you. -
