  1. the statue looks like tom jones
  2. cduniverse lists it as an Australian import, albeit that they're showing the cover for Daddy Bug. And there some listed on half.com as well (or so it seems).
  3. does the stuff from the Jazz Institute in Darmstadt count? (link) Not familiar with much of their stuff, but you need to go through some effort to find these out and they're in German too, which helps obscurity. I only have the catalogue to the 1988 exposition, reprinted with additions in 1997. Now, that is one hefty jazz tome! 700+ pages (A4 sized) with loads of information on jazz, particularly also in Europe.
  4. either that or remove the chip. -_-

  6. Berlin is now in Australia?
  7. I ran into the same problem. this pic is also used in the new CD release. I'm too lazy to look it up in google, but does the Revenge set include all of the Salle Wagram material?
  8. Full cast radio play? Cool beans! Reminds me of the original Flash Gordon cinematic series somehow.
  9. Berlin, 1st of May EVERY DAMN YEAR:
  10. The recording was made in the night from 18 to 19. There were technical problems and the actual recording only started after midnight, hence the new reissue lists 19 April. the Salle Wagram is where the previous night's recording - that yielded the version of So Long Eric included on the original release - was made.
  11. Kurt Edelhagen/Wolfgang Sauer (Amiga) way cool big band with Sauer singing a mean Mackie Messer (Mack the Knife)
  12. the Universal France gallery!
  13. when was this on Prestige and in what form? I thought this was originally a 3LP set on the America label. BTW:this was released on Emarcy/Universal France (not Verve).
  14. damn, there are so many threads on this one I forgot there were any! BTW: these reissues are truly fabulous!
  15. from this site:
  16. this came out some time ago as a 2CD digipac, released by Universal France. The packaging is beautiful and the liners extensive. Sound is pretty good and two tunes, ArtTatumFatsWaller and Goodbye Eric that were originally left off due to bad sound quality, are included. Apparantly, the folks who worked on this issue managed to work with the tapes and produce something decent. This is some 26 minutes of music! I haven't had time yet to really sit down with this music. I will do so pronto, thanks for the impulse!
  17. artful detail from one of the nearby GDR housing blocks I still haven't found out what that one guy in the back is holding. below more detail. The way he wears his jacket of course kicks some major ass. The lady seems impressed. It looks as if he's waving with a shark or some other fish. But that doesn't make sense, right?
  18. we had Nosferatu drop by once.
  19. Don't know. I didn't take the pic, I got it from Google. Poor example, I know. so now google is to blame for your choice among the images it provides
  20. what's with the girlie colours?
  21. this has been released in digipac by Rhyno/Warner in 2002 and paired with Daddy Bug on Collectibles in 1999. Should still be available. It is indeed a pretty good album.
  22. yo ubu, those pics are several MB each! bit much of the good thing if you ask me.
