  1. Rather Teutonic off late I am afraid... nothing like the cute girl who used to take care of my neighbourhood...
  2. abuse you say? ah yes... I think some of the phrases from your original post steered it all in that direction, wouldn't you agree? Stuff like "an obese American white male, who puts in a straight six hours a day on the board, shovelling junk food and beer in one end while expelling Bronx cheers out the other, occasionally breaking to surf some porn and maybe jerk off, who thinks Kerry is some sort of radical, and all the while imagines, Walter Mitty-like, that he's an influential and respected arbiter of taste at the centre of the jazz world." isn't exactly scoring many points in the white glove department, nor does it really scream out to have an honest, friendly discussion, does it? Maybe you would like to start over and use some of those smileys or equivalent explanatory remarks. You put a big foot in your mouth, the board collectively pointed that out in all its diverse manners, and now you return to whine about THAT? Don't, it looks too sad. Before you can turn to business as usual and start any adult discussion about this topic, you really need to polish up your act. Your last post is just as condescending as the first one, so please once more, try again, this time wiv FEEWING!

wouldn't one be investing in the "bad" part of their business by buying disks by these new talents? Hey, on MY horse I can (and smell) the shit quite clearly. Tally ho! ah yes...

All for the sake of argument. What is it about the "special" treatment of performance art anyhow. If a guy makes a painting, he sells it and that's it. No complaints about any (mis)use after that as the thing doesn't belong to him anymore. Different when it's film, music, or whatever. Why? (serious question I am contemplating myself)
  7. FEGH! That's BRILLIANT! I would *download* (see, it *still* don't work in Opera ) the damn codec for that! thanks rock-o-rama-man! DIVX codec here (4.1 MB)

  17. Bayan P. it seems, yes; thanks! Bayan is a Russian accordion right? One with -- though different -- knobs on both sides. That got me set off that track, but it turns out to be correct anyhow. 't Is one like this (I think): has many more key than a regular accordion: and weighs 13 kilos...

did Bear Family put this stuff out? The only stuff on the box I was familiar with was some of the Dance Orchestra stuff on disk one, which may have been swiped but might as well not (didnot investigate) and the Ramblers stuff on disk 3, which may have been released by a dutch archival label. Otherwise, I wouldn't know where to look. Especially the Charlie & His Orchestra Propaganda material I found very interesting and I bought the set mostly for those tracks. Would not know of any other release of those. Will try and find out, did not at the time... EDIT: okay, looked around and found this; so it seems Charlie and his orchestra may very well have been ripped; no concerns about paying royalties to the artists I hope... !
