Personally, I prefer when album covers give a bit of helpful information. Especially the names of key sidemen. In a record shop you can turn the cover over to get information on personnel, tunes, etc. But on the computer, iPad, or iPhone, a picture of an album cover with nothing but the name of the leader and title can unsatisfying (to me).

I met Don Heckman many years ago in Detroit when he came for a weekend jazz festival. It must have been about 1965 or 1966.. -

Three musicians come to mind that are highly skilled jazz players on both Vibes & Piano. Eddie Costa Victor Feldman Buddy Montgomery Are there others? One finger piano players such as Lionel Hampton and Terry Gibbs do not fit this concept.
