I saw Armstrong, Eldridge, Lester Young, Ellington, Basie, Hodges, Miles, Coltrane, Diz, Chet, Dorham, Clifford Brown, Bud Powell, and many many other jazz legends. Had a great opportunity to see Charlie Parker, but passed thinking I would see him next time he was in Detroit. Unfortunately there was no next time. My greatest jazz regrett was missing that chance to see Bird.

Blues Bash and For Charlie and Benny are the ones I prefer. The others have some very good small group tracks, but would have much preferred the entire sessions without the Don Sebesky large group tracks.

I agree with you regarding the Sam Noto session. Joe can also be heard on Sam Noto's - "Notes To You" on Xanadu. Neither has been reissued on CD, but definitely should be, in my opinion. Joe's one CD as leader was on his own label. Joe Romano - This Is The Moment - Joe Romano 928 with Joe Magnarelli, Dino Losito, Neal Miner , Mike Melito Not sure about it's availability?
