The Charles Mingus Quintet with Dannie Richmond, Don Pullen, George Adams & Hamiet Bluiett played at the IX Festival de Jazz de San Sebastián on July 25, 1974. This concert was recorded, as it was broadcast on Spanish TVE 1 on Sep. 14, 1974. Mingus's group (with Dannie Richmond, Ricky Ford, Jack Walrath & Robert Neloms) also played at the XII Festival de Jazz de San Sebastián on July 25, 1977, but I don't know if a soundboard or audience recording exists.

Three nice eulogies of BR have been published in the last issue of VJM, written by Malcolm Shaw and other two friends/colleagues.

Got the disc for a quite reasonable price from a seller at amazon.de. Thanks for the help!

But just wait until you hear these three new 15-minute live versions of My Favorite Things that were just turned up. Paraphrasing Martin Williams.... where's the melody? We should get back to the 78 rpm discs: three and a half minutes per song is enough. Solos of more than three choruses should be forbidden!

Cuadernos de Jazz was currently the oldest and the longest-ever running jazz magazine in Spain.
