What music did you buy today?

Kasse Mady - Kela - Syllart a reissue of 'Koulandjan Kela' and 'Fode' on 1 CD. My copy of 'Koulandjan Kela' was fucked, so I was glad to see this. Oumou Sangare - En tournee Europeenne - Ben BD There's a LOT more power in this than in her early recordings. I've been missing something, as she's matured. Mamou Sidibe - Kanakoroto - SMD Sega Another Wassoulou singer who's improved with age. Youssou ndour - Bercy 2005 - Jololi Youssou ndour - Bercy 2008 - Jololi Coumba Gawlo - Le album live 23 ans de succes - Sabar Not live. It's a 2 CD set, but CD2 sounds and appears to be the same as CD 1 ... Ganda Fadiga - 2008 vol 3 - CK7 Tata Bambo Kouyate - Aou bouna - FCA - no image on web now on to K7s; the boss of Lampe Fall was good enough to give me this lot of oldies for nothing! Coumba Gawlo & Souleymane Faye - Gawlo & Diego - Sabar - I've been after this since it came out in 2003 and I've never seen it. Mr Fall must have had it all that time, though. I must have just missed it because it was filed with the cover facing the wall. Thione Seck - Orientissimo vols 1 & 2 - Syllart - vol 2 isn't on the web, but looks like the CD. MG -

RIP, Bobby. Decades of pleasure he's given me. Never heard of him before I bought 'Don't cry no more'; his latest single at the time. When I got it home, bloomin' 'eck, Tucker! I saw him in the late 90s at a pub in Newport, east of Cardiff. Amazingly, he had a black band behind him. He was fantastic, even though he didn't have the voice he had years before. Jimmy Page and others from Led Zep and Van Morrison were in the audience, picking up tips (they all lived locally). Morrison horned his way onto the stage and asked if he could do a duet of 'Your friends'. Bland, polite, agreed, though he looked as if he didn't know what this guy was doing, coming up; anyway, Morrison, predictably, stank. Bland put up with it. MG

this is the link http://eil.com/images/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin'+And+Lopin'+-+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg It's the same link Sonnymax used. When I put this string into the little box above the reply box What happens? It tells me I'm not allowed to post that extension here. MG But when I use Sonnymax's string above I actually get the image from eil [http://eil.com/im ages/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin%27+And+Lopin%27+-+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg] And it actually posts!!!! MG

Well, not this one. http://eil.com/images/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin'+And+Lopin'+-+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg Just tried posting this with 3 other .jpg images and got a message saying I wasn't allowed to post files with that extension. Didn't say which one it was complaining about. So I started deleting each image, then putting it back and when the Sonny Clark was deleted, it posted OK. So I used a different image. OK. But what's different about this one? Buggered if I can see the difference. Won't let me post it in this thread, either. At least it's consistent. MG Ah, when I hit the link, I got a message from eil saying the page wasn't available. Usually that gives you a little red cross, not an error message. MG
