  1. Hi Chuck, I am interested and have sent you a PM. Thanks, John
  2. A little man walked up and down He found an eating place in town He read the menu thru and thru To see what 15 cents could do One meat ball One meat ball He could afford but one meat ball He told the waiter near at hand The simple dinner he had planned The guests were startled one and all To hear that waiter loudly call - What? One meat ball One meat ball Hey, this here gent wants one meat ball The little man felt ill at ease Send some bread sir if you please The waiter hollered down the hall You gets no bread with one meat ball One meat ball One meat ball Well you gets no bread with one meat ball The little man felt very bad One meat ball was all he had And in his dreams he hears that call You gets no bread with one meat ball One meat ball One meat ball Well you gets no bread with one meat ball --Josh White’s version
  3. Thanks so much Catesta & Medjuck. I bought a used copy of the cd off ebay.
  4. Does anyone know the name of the album(s) that Teresa Brewer performed with Duke Ellington? It may be from the mid sixties to early seventies? It may be a live recording? Unfortunately, I don't have any further details. I am wondering if this/these recording are available on CD. Thanks in advance!
  5. Placed my order Friday and got the set today - #3501. Only on disc 1 but sounds great so far.
  6. I bought this set last year from Music Direct (same as Lon's link - $169). I believe it was Dmitry who said that the set was an analog remaster. I also couldn't find any information printed on the packaging or booklet. The remaster credits list: Geoff Sykes, Bill Inglot, Gene Paul/dB Plus, Bob Fisher. My set is also one of the year 2000 second edition. Printed on the box, "This is a repressing of a box set which was originally released in 1995 as a numbered limited edition. There will be only 3000 copies of the unnumbered second edition manufactured". The albums seem to be pressed on 180gm vinyl. When I was looking into buying the set I saw descriptions that said both 180gm and 150gm. I don't know which is correct, but it is certainly heavier then 120gm.
  7. Brought to you by the makers of Solient Green. Ad campaign Kid: "Hey mom, can I have Some Other Stuff on my cornbread?" Mom: "Not until you've eaten mo' greens, please!" Kid: "Good gracious Mom" ©GM III
  8. My pleasure JAW and David. Unfortunately, I don't have the second list of 50 (this was posted on the old BNBB, but I didn't save it).

  10. Sepia Tone reissued This Is Our Music in 2002. It sounds pretty good, but I don't have the old Atlantic to A/B it against.

Blue Mitchell’s Step Lightly (or from the Blue Mitchell Mosaic) – Mamacita (8/13/63) I don’t know if I would categorize this as essential, but it is very good music.
