  1. Just sent in my order!
  2. Nah, that´s the problem of living in a faraway and neutral country such as Switzerland! ← At least I'm not so catholic as to cry out jesus on wordly things such as BFTs!
  3. Hey, the party once again started without me Bring them suckers on! Lazy ass postal services!

I like it. But it's music done "by the rules". You should (and UBU too) check their pairing on a CD publish by EMOUVANCE who's name is... TRISTANO. I suppose it will suit better your taste. They play the tunes of TRISTANO, or those associate to him (317 EAST 32 ND, LINE UP, REQUIEM, LENNIE-BIRD, YOU DON'T NOW WHAT LOVE IS, WOW, DREAMS + one from LENNY POPKIN) and some originals by both in a straigth piano duo. And it's really amazing. ← Is this the Sketch in question? And this the one that's better, I guess: And here's some Oliva that looks interesting: Anyone knows of a place where Sketch discs are cheaper than on French Amazon? I still ought to pick up the two Waldrons and some of the Humairs!
  5. How about first making the Fantasy albums readily available? (Those are the Jazz Workshop LPs, I assume? Monterey, and Music Written for...?) I have "Monterey" on LP, but have never heard the other set. Seems to be some of the best Mingus, so... what is she waiting for?
  6. Gee, be a little bit patient, willya?
  7. PM sent on the UK stuff!
  8. Forgot to report, Mr. Sydney ( ), that I am proud owner of some sinister Marigolds with a weird voice, as well as some crazy Petr-ist acrobatics!
  9. So MJM is at the same time "I" and "he"? Now that *is* mind-boggling! On the other hand, there was such a hugely overrated bassist, Fungus, or what was his name again? ... well, anyway, he said he was not only two, but even three!!!
  10. I have neither of these, but they both sound good! The one I have is this one: don't forget it! Solal's there, too:

Well obviously where you live the world is upside down, that's why you call it down under, maybe... Nevertheless, "Some Comination" is a terrific album also for us who stand on their feet!
  12. I'll have to spin this one soon: That's the one I first heard Stubblefield... one of the first jazz discs I heard.
  13. Bill Holman? Stoopid muzak! Bah! Big fan of Brookmeyer and Geru here... their music has a freshness that continues to be striking still today. Not your usual run-of-the-mill hardbop crap that those weird Germans in New York produced... you know, all those boring albums by overrated guys like Horace Silver, Art Blekey (sp?), Hank Mobley, Jackie McLean and all those other boring fellas. ← you just mentioned four of the greatest names in jazz history, so you like sarcasm too, thats cool....... ← To each his own... for me Mulligan and Pepper and Brookmeyer are just as much "great names" as Blakey and Silver and company!
