  1. Brave man, great artist in troubled times and beyond. "I ve always liked to listen to his "Rex Casino". The above pictured book, Coco´s moving account of his astonishing life, is a stunning read and thus highly recommended to everybody interested in history, jazz, Berlin, strength of man and of course Coco himself.   3. Maybe for some obscure, but it´s always worthwhile diggin up some unknown masterly music. IMHO this one, recorded fifteen years ago, surely is a winner; Wilfred Josephs - Works for clarinet (Metier) - Complete beauty but it is the Clarinet Quintet that´s the real stunner - one of the most precious written for this format.

  23. Second heartily NYT piano choice; Leif Ove Andsnes album for Sony is gorgeous. Sibelius for piano is surely a discovery to make. Bought this earlier this year and have been happily listening to it repeatedly. Strongly recommended!
