  1. That's how I read the thread title, too!

    BLAH!

I agree with Paul. You just have to let it pass. One thing that helps me is to not listen to any music at all for a few weeks. This helps clear my head and usually I'll start getting ideas for original tunes and the creative juices will start flowing again.
  3. So let me get this straight. The guy is going 120mph, crashes his car, endangers the lives of who knows how many people, is drunk as a skunk, and claims that a guy named "Dietrich" was driving and he ran away. And the cops didn't arrest this guy?! Gee, let me try that one the next time I'm going 120mph in my minivan and get pulled over. WTF?!
  4. Yep. Vic usually plays with just bass and drums. He's a bad mofo.
  5. I just tested it on a computer directly connected to the router and my upload speed was the same (359kbps) but the download speed was greater (5406kbps). Interesting...and still not too shabby considering the ancient neighborhood I live in.
  6. Ha! I was going to say that upload speeds are usually 1/10th of the download speeds, but I wasn't sure. After going to that site, it confirmed that I was right. My download speed: 3696kbps My upload speed: 359kbps Not too shabby for a wireless connection! I bet it would be even faster if I tested it on a computer that was physically connected to the router.
  7. The second guy sounds like a maroon. Upload speeds are always much slower than download speeds. I'm not sure why that is, but that's how it goes. What problem are you having?
  8. I have yet to take my guitar on a plane, but that day may be coming soon. And I am a bit worried about it. Did you see the case that Ron Blake used to transport his saxes? It was a beast. FFA has the right idea... you have to put it in something basically indestructable. If you rely only on it's hard case, you'll be asking for trouble!
  9. Let's not turn this into a "check out this gross album cover" contest, please? I'm sure there are some pretty bad ones out there that I don't need to see. Regarding Manson, he's a doorknob.
  10. Lots of musicians had drug problems... what's wrong with smokin' a little herb before the game?
  11. Oh, and btw ss1, what happened to Michigan's b-ball team on Saturday?
  12. I was casually watching as I surfed the net. I say Kobe mouth mf at the end of the game, probably 'cos he lost the ball to 'Sheed trying to be Mr. Fancy Dribble.
  13. We're in DC at the Blues Alley on Oct. 11th.
  14. I guess Michigan ain't taking no stuff:
  15. From that site: That last one is scary and one good reason why this site exists. Obviously throwing perps in jail isn't helping them rehabilitate, so it's about protection. Well, that's one side of the coin, anyway.
  16. The point is taken, however when typing in my address I noticed two people with offenses against children in my neighborhood and I live across the street from an elementary school. Now, I realize that a child is basically anyone under 16 so it doesn't necessarily mean these two people committed a crime against an elementary school kid, but damn... It's a tough issue, for sure... as a father, I'm not sure where I stand on it.
  17. No, but we have the boogaloo sisters and they dance like crazy. Is that good enough?
  18. Hey man, Joe and I have two CDs worth of our compositions out there. What you got?
  19. Darko is done. http://proxy.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2332021 I don't really understand trading Arroyo, though. I thought he did a good job as Billup's backup. Lindsey is a good player but he's stale having not played at all this year. After the All-Star break will be interesting.
  20. Most jazz festivals these days are going away from jazz and incorporating more styles. Why they keep calling them jazz festivals and not just music festivals is beyond me, but whatever works.
  21. Hey, it's been a very mild winter here, but you know what? I ain't complaining, especially with the cost of heating one's house skyrocketing.
  22. I finally got around to adding the donate button to the top bar. There's no $ graphic anymore, as none of other links (Live Chat Help Search Members Calendar) use icons in this version of the software. And yes, you can always send a check if you'd like to the address on the contacts page of the website. Make checks out to me, Jim Alfredson. Thanks!
  23. The hundred dollar bills are either beer-soaked or lipstick stained, depending on who pays us.
