  1. I just figured something out. For those of you who cannot see the sidebar, if you hover your mouse around the upper right corner of the big blue "About organissimo" header, you should see a faint, grayed out arrow button which will appear black when you hover over it. Click it and the sidebar should appear. I added a red circle to the area in question on Sangry's photo:
  2. Question for those who cannot see the sidebar: Can you see the ad at the bottom of the index page?
  3. I have my server company doing a server-wide security audit. Just an initial inspection by my friend revealed some nasty backdoors on the big-o-records.com website, which is also hosted on my server. Not fun.
  4. Though to be on the safe side, I would do a virus and malware scan on your affected computers.
  5. That's normal. I don't think so. It's just my server.
  6. It appears we have a security breech and that's why certain members are not able to see the sidebar. I'm working on it. I'm not sure about Amazon UK, but I think it does count.
  7. Thanks to all our Lansing friends and fans who came to Bar30 tonight to hear organissimo. We had a ball! Hope you did, too.

  8. Strange. Can you take a screen capture of what the main index page looks like on your comp?
  9. Playing the SK2 tonight with organissimo.
  10. Jim, I reset your skin. Does that make the sidebars appear?
  11. Fourth gig under my belt with the SK2. Hammond Suzuki just released a new OS that adds a new sub-menu control to change the trigger point for the organ engine. It now plays as fast as my XK3. Love it! It's a really fantastic instrument and incredibly inspiring to play. So far I've written four tunes with it while practicing in my home studio. I have another gig tonight and initially I was going to use the full XK System but I think I'll use the SK2 instead. It's just so much fun!
  12. Y'all may have noticed the Amazon widget on the right side of the main index screen here at the forums. Some might remember that we once had a search function on the older forum where you could query Amazon and any purchases made using that query would result in a small "commission" from the sale going towards the forum. The new widget on the main page is the same concept. This will help fund the forum. So if you're doing any shopping via Amazon this holiday season, please consider using the widget. I believe you only have to use it one time. Once you arrive at Amazon via the widget, all other purchases made during that session (ie, as long as you keep your browser open) are automatically credited to the organissimo account. Thanks!
  13. Here's a direct link to the CD at Amazon, with embedded code for the organissimo forum: Grant Green - The Holy Barbarian
  14. Whoa. The new OS upgrade on the SK2 is killer. It allows you to use the higher trigger point for the organ, so now it plays just like my XK3, ie FAST! Watch out!

  15. Apple pie for breakfast. That's ok, right?

  16. I appreciate everyone who has chipped in so far. You may have noticed that the board was gone for about an hour this morning. That's because my server was de-activated by the hosting company due to a lack of payment. Again, it costs $150 a month to keep this place running. My server company is patient with me and doesn't mind if I'm a few months behind, nor do they charge late fees (which is incredible). But I just had to front $550 of my own money to get the server turned back on. The total due was $750, which means I was five months behind. We've gotten about $200 in Paypal donations so far. I'll go check the PO box today. I guess we know what their limit is now! Four months behind is ok. Five months behind... not so much. Luckily I had just sold a piece of equipment yesterday and had the balance in my Paypal account to pay the bill.
  17. It's that time of year. Families will be gathering together for the holiday season. Do you need your piano tuned before the guests arrive? Please get in touch. I have openings in my busy schedule. Thanks!

  18. I now have two gigs under my belt with the SK2. I'm getting more comfortable with it. It's certainly a change from the XK System I've played for the last 6+ years. But the tone is incredible. And it's very flexible. Today I'm heading to the studio to track three songs with the SK2, complete with HD video for promotional purposes, and to get some good photographs of myself and the instrument for Hammond's website. Should be fun!
  19. Ok, in light of the very tepid response from the current fundraiser, I've added a small banner ad to the bottom of the forum. I think it's pretty out of the way, all things considered. I've also added an Amazon search widget to the index page. If you use that widget to access items on Amazon and purchase something, we get a cut. Please consider using it during this holiday season. Thanks!
  20. Gig #2 with the new Hammond SK2 was a success! I'm getting more comfortable with the layout and the action. It sounds incredible through the Leslie 3300. The next test is how it sounds through a pair of powered speakers. I'm wary of going sans Leslie for organ trio gigs, but I have a feeling the SK2 will do fine.

  21. A day of solving crises, mostly centered around (what else) computers.

  22. 2.9 miles today on the elliptical. Getting there.

  23. "Magic wands are only for princesses." Wisdom from Scarlett.

  24. Well, it's been four months or so since our last fund drive. I think we all determined it was easier to do three fund drives a year in order to raise the $1800 is costs to keep this place going. So it's time for the next third; $600.
