  1. No sorry, a documentary about this scientists 'work'.
  2. BTW it's on Channel 4 soon (this week possibly) helping women who've never achieved the Big O.
  3. A few years ago around this village, locals mentioned the sudden absence of the common sparrow. Apparently, some species of bird are good indicators of air quality in a given area. You may find that robins thrive in an area where air quality has improved or suffered. If you know any lentil munching, sandal wearing 'greenies' then they'll give you the low-down
  4. Great name Johnny!!! B-) Love takes on a whole new meaning when your child comes into the world. Congatulations.
  5. That's pretty amazing but I feel more sad watching this as the young lady obviously hurt herself but the tossers are too busy whooping it up to even notice. Puds. I thought the vid was slightly 'altered' in some way, in that she doesn't go through a hoop at all?
  6. For the last year I have been a children's nursery assistant and I also look after a friend's little girl a couple of afternoons a week. When my son arrived 4 years ago, I gave up work to look after him at home. I've had the offer of doing a bit of sax tuition but never taken it yet. The children's work is demanding purely due to the noise and 'energy differential' between grown ups and toddlers. The little girl is also disabled which upsets me somewhat; I feel considerable attachment to her anyway as I was a friend of her dad's. He died in an accident 2 and a half years ago. I come home every day with a pounding headache which I suppose is down to the fact I really try to listen to things the kids say. you could just go "mmm...yeah, oh wow, thats good" etc., which I hear parent s do all the time, but I would like to think they listen to me and others when they speak so.....
  7. Tickle her bits...
  8. just a bunch a white guys....?
  9. Now I've always liked New Perspective, good feel about it, not groundbreaking stuff, but just feels nice. My most pressing dislike is Kenny Dorham's 'Whistle Stop'. The compositions aren't much cop and the band sound stilted IMO. More reasons here on another Org post. Possibly a dissapointment when lined up next to other KD recordings though?
  10. NOw that's just cruel.
  11. 321.1m and lots of misses
  12. Pengiun bashing. 278m so far.
  13. That's a shame Bev. You know how long venues around the NE survive for, you've probably missed your chance My wife has parents consultations this week. She absolutely loves them.

  15. Now try Dale Turner.
  16. Yeah I've just spent waaay too long on there, and managed to catch it out with Dicky Greenleaf from The Ripley film. Now the $64000 question is, Did you get your head mashed to a pulp on a rowing boat off the Italian Riviera? No, then are you Barney Rubble?
  17. See if you can beat the computer at Guess Who.
  18. I missed most of it earlier, although I think it may be repeated soon. Looks like a fair bit of authentic footage of the band and their life on the road, much of which was taken by their home-movie buff bass player. Cheers.
  19. Artie Shaw: Quest For Perfection
  20. Longest 'proper' album in my collection is, I think, Soundgarden's Superunknown.
  21. Aimee Mann's Batchelor No. 2/ Lost In Space double set for £8.99 from play.com
