  1. I've had one CT scan and one MRI. I'm not claustrophobic but if I were, this would not help? m~
  2. I've been many times over the past few years with great results. I guess it depends on the person you go to. The lady that I go to works on Olympic athletes and is very good. I think with all the times I have fallen, bumped into doors , ran from police and paticipate in riots/demonstrations that I just get a little out of kilter and need an adjustment....never had any complaints but was a little freaked the first time. m!
  3. ...how are the musicians/performers/hacks nominated and winner chosen? Peers....fans.....??? m!
  4. .....YES!
  5. While I really like the Sly of old, that was some sad shit last night. The first thing I heard on the news this morning was "the highlight of the evening was Sly Stone" . This show gets sadder as the years go on. While I've heard a lot about John Legend, I thought his performance was pretty weak as was Cold Plays. I'm not sure C. Martin would make it past the first round (well, maybe the 2nd round) of American Idol if folks didn't know who he was. My question is (and I should probably know this) how are the nominated bands/performers and the winners chosen? m~
  6. ...fun story, thanks for posting!
  7. ...after about 2 tunes, this is what he looked like to me.....I think it was the Rhodes!
  8. ...and old man potter!
  9. ....Nate Smith
  10. ...here are a few images from the show. Mark

I'm glad you liked the set design, flames, dancing back-up singers...and when he licked his finger and wiped his bangs. That all adds up to great music. You're right. You see, I'm a visual artist and I've married a musician. So I am always looking at what is being played as well as listening. I do think that is very important. Music is a visual medium no matter how you slice it.
  12. Everyone from Indy knows about Charlie the Speed King! I remember as a kid, my grandfather telling me stories about him. m~
  13. I made yesterdays show; I'll post a few photographs tonight. m~
  14. Damn, Mark's doggin' me!Tony's a great player, showman, and an all around nice guy. Gave me a big hug when I introduced myself and said he's been hearing our name more and more, and said, "I'm prayin' for you guys". We traded CDs; his new one, out next week, is a trio with Adam Nussbaum and Bruce Foreman. Haven't had a chance to listen yet, but how can you lose with those guys? Oh yeah, he also mentioned me and organissimo ("a great band") from the stage in the second set - precisely at the moment I had reached the bathroom door at the other end of the room. How did I know that would happen? I'm sure you know I'm just kidding! I have mentioned you guys to the JK management so many times they are ready to revoke my BOP club membership~ m~
  15. Just stopped back in to the Jazz Kitchen a few minutes ago and ran into Joe G. Chatted for a bit, it seems as though he likes Monaco's playing....said something about replacing the b3 player in his current band . Place was pretty full as it was last night. Talked with Tony for a few minutes, gave him a couple prints from last nights show...very nice guy. Joe was givin' tips to the guitar player.... I'll keep bugging management until they get you guys in there. m~
  16. ...there is a nice on BeeHive Records called "Keep on Pushin'" as well.
  17. ...very sad about Al but funny story about Stanley!
  18. ...sent PM on the Cline! The Cline Singers have arrived! Thanks! m~
  19. You're right Jim, Tony rented it from George Smith Music in Anderson, IN. If I remember right, this is where Joey D rented one the last time he played the Kitchen. Here is a better image of it. m~
  20. and......

  22. Caught Tony's first very energetic show tonight and it was excellent. Don't recall the most of the tunes but played at least 2 of Jimmy Smith's and a Don Patterson tune. I had a chance to speak to Tony for a few minutes after the show and mentioned Organissimo. He said "I love those guys, tell them I said hi". I told him Joe G would be in the house tomorrow night and he said to tell him to stop by. Although I can't attend the show tomorrow night, I'll most likely stop in to chat with Joe G. The Jazz Kitchen crowd seems to love Tony and they lined up 25 deep to chat with him and buy cds. Here a a few images from the show. m~
  23. [ I don't mean to offend anyone here, but Texas kinda scares me a little. But anyplace that is the home of Jim Sangrey can't be all bad
  24. ...hopefully a little smaller!
