  1. Thanks for the discography. I was just about to post again on two more albums, but everything's o.k. Although the Tubby Hayes track listing is different from the one given by Paul. This one is the same as the box. I wonder which is the correct one? Thanks again coudub-ya.
  2. THANK YOU THANK YOU COUW! Hopefully I won't need to bug you again...
  3. No one knows? I'm itching to recreate them on tape for my car. Someone's holding out, is it you?
  4. I've got that, thanks, but that site & most I've found, including the link you have, list the sequence of songs as on the box set, not the actual album. I've got the Hayes one, but now need Kirk's Reeds & Deeds and The Benny Golson one.
  5. Just a casual remark on AfricaBrass's newest avatars. I still laugh because they change so frequently. Thanks for the laughs. By the way, Revolution 9 scared me as a kid; I'm talking 8 or 9 I had The White Album. It wasn't until the cds came out that I reevaluated and decided I liked it. I also had Magical Mystery Tour at that age with the booklet and the picture of Lennon in a waiter's uniform shoveling spaghetti onto Auntie Jessie's plate ALWAYS upset me, still does.
  6. Nevermind, I found out he's on only one song. Anyway, I've been trying to buy Kirk's somewhat chronlogically and have hit some stumbling blocks. After listening to clips, I just didn't like the majority of Left & Right, Blacknuss, The 3 Sided Dream & Meeting Of The Times. From what I've heard of the rest of the 70's stuff, I'm willing to take a chance on them.
  7. Wait, hold on just a nose picking minute...IASW never had a metal spine, so why are they reissuing it?
  8. Speaking of Revolution 9...in reference to the Paul Is Dead rumor, has anyone found any clues not mentioned anywhere? I credit myself with having found the first Anti-Paul Is Dead clue. The last thing you hear on Revolution 9 is a crowd chanting "Block that kick.", but if you bead your eyes, turn your head at a 46 degree angle during a full lunar eclipse; you can hear what they're actually saying which is..... Block that kick. No, no; only joking. It's "Paul's not dead". Try it. -_-
  9. Aaaahhhh! There are in a different sequence. Thank you Paul. Now I can't find Reeds & Deeds & the Benny Golson one. Forgot to add these are Kirk cds, heh, heh.
  10. Does anyone have this record or cd by Tubby Hayes? Every track listing I find is the same as on the Roland Kirk box set which is fine, but I just want to make sure. Thanks. Musicgeek, over & out.
  11. I've seen video where McCartney says You Know My Name is one of his favorites. I think it's in Anthology (the video, I mean).
  12. If we're including pre-Beatlemania songs then I vote for Love Of The Loved - McCartney, who else? This is on Anthology 1, part of their Decca audition. Also Harrison's You Know What To Do on Anthology 1 & You Like Me Too Much; yes, that's my actual vote, You Like Me Too Much. I love Don't Bother Me though. Favorite of all: Tomorrow Never Knows
  13. I love them all, though some less than others: Good Night, Ask Me Why, She Loves You didn't age well.
  14. You know the ones I mean, portable cassette tape holders? They only make 36 now. Does anyone have a 60 they're not using anymore? Not looking for mint condition, just good. Please PM. Thanks.
  15. My favorite part is during Sanders solo and he overblows a couple of notes & it sounds exactly like feedback from a guitar amp. I always listen to those notes over & over. The only time the album scared me was after eating my first pot brownie. I just kept saying, "Geez, this stuff is kinda scary."
  16. Any opinions of Les McCann Live at Montreux with Kirk as a sideman?
  17. AfricaBrass: the title of Cat Boxing should've been Litter Boxing. Berigan: can we see a blown up version of your avatar? Dan Gould: did you ever watch The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley? It was a cartoon on Saturday mornings in 1988. Just 13 episodes. I mention that because during the run of the show, they had an Ed Grimley look alike contest for, I think, under & over 21 years of age. I came in as a runner up in the under 21 category. I still have my 8 X 10 glossies, a huge pin with the shows title on it & a certificate with my name on it. I had to put so much gel in my hair to keep the front point up!
  18. The Eddie Baccus album; that's just one song with Kirk on it, right? A Breath On The Wind which is on the Mercury box.
  19. Does anyone have these two sideman dates of Kirk: Roy Haynes-Out Of The Afternoon Eddie Baccus-Feel Real Are they worth getting?
  20. AfricaBrass, Cat Shatner with breasts is hysterical! Where did you actually get that cat head anyway?
  21. Mine is a love of AfricaBrass's avatars, especially the Herb Alpert album cover; that one was still the best.
