Thanks for this. I'm always on the outlook for new and good big band jazz. I just downloaded this and a previous release, "Portraits and Places."

4th time through. I really enjoy this release.

👍 I wish Mosaic had done a Rugolo Box set like they did for Johnny Richards.

I think the story Bill tells is true. But that was not long after Kenton died. Thirty plus years later, Kenton's estate no longer has any interest in legal action or pursuing the provisions of his will. In fact, I understand that his surviving children have given their approval to Vax's efforts.

I think the Freddie Hubbard Mosaic is superb. It wasn't all new to me, but I was lacking several of the albums. This set has given me much listening pleasure.
