  1. Listening again. This is a very fine CD. Over the last couple of days - Discs 4,5,6
  2. Actually, I think Farrell is less Coltrane-esque than many of the tenors who played with Elvin. Not saying I will buy this but I am intrigued by the fact that there is a piano player in the group, another rarity in Jones's groups. I've never heard of Billy Greene. I will likely give it a listen on i-tunes.
  3. If you like a particular musician listen to him/her, if not then don't waste your time. Life is too short. I generally like Peterson, though I wouldn't call him my favorite jazz pianist. FWIW, people like Hank Jones and Andre Previn have called him the best.
  4. I would rank that one as Harry's best recording (at least of those I've heard). to the Dameron set, too. Now:
