  1. NP: I know Shearing's three MPS LPs with NHØP & Louis Stewart . . . and his solo LP, My Ship. But I had no idea that The Way We Are existed. Will give it a listen.
  2. Not a song that I would've EVER associated with George Shearing! Yet. . . there it is.
  3. After recommendations from @Teasing the Korean and @JSngry:
  4. Thanks!
  5. Ken, I didn't realize that LP had been issued on Muse. I have the album too -- it's terrific! -- but it's on the Palo Alto Jazz label (with a different cover). Did Muse reissue it when PAJ went belly-up?
  6. For the 2nd time tonight:
  7. Kenny Werner - Unprotected Music (Double-Time Jazz, 1998) with Marc Johnson & Joey Baron Beautiful.
  8. Reissue of two of Fuller's Savoy LPs, both recorded in 1959. Also, both feature Benny Golson. R.I.P. I'm gonna check it out.
  9. I wonder: Is the continuation of the music on tape reel stashed on a shelf somewhere, waiting for an expanded reissue? One can hope.

  11. More Mal Waldron: Solid JP CD reissue A terrific record!
  12. Szell's Schumann recordings are considered to be classics. I like them very much.
  13. Next up: Schumann's 4th Symphony performed by Szell & the Clevelanders, as heard in this 3-LP set:
  14. Sounds like I should give it a listen.
  15. CD 5 - Symphonies Nos. 7 & 8
  16. Nope. It one of the few that I don't have. What do you think of it?
  17. I've been spinning a couple LPs that James Moody made for Vanguard in the late-70s: and Neither of these are top-tier Moody albums. Even so, I dig his playing so much that I'm thoroughly enjoying them.
  18. Nice 2-LP compilation of Farmer's Prestige sides, 1953 - 55. Now spinning LP 1. Up next: LP 2. Perhaps the loveliest album of the many Waldron-Lacy releases.
  19. (West) German pressing
  20. Now this: We Are Busy Bodies reissue
