  4. Gato Barbieri - Bolivia and Under Fire (Flying Dutchman/Bluebird) 2 LPs on 1 CD
  5. Next up: Gato Barbieri - Yesterdays (Flying Dutchman, 1974)
  6. Gave this LP a spin last night. Enjoyed it so much that I'm playing it again now:
  7. Chris Woods - Modus Operandi (Delmark, rec. 1978) I've been enjoying this one.
  8. Yes, I liked it very much!
  9. This again: Nancy Harrow with Jack Wilkins - Two's Company (Inner City, 1984)
  10. R.I.P. I love how Morganstern always described his foremost role as being a "jazz advocate." That says a great deal about his relationship with the music.
  11. Baden Powell - Selección (Barclay/Movie Play ES, rel. 1981) A terrific compilation of tracks originally released 1964 - 1971.
  12. Jazztrack & Norma Winstone - Flying Stork (Musicians Record Co. - EMI Electrola, 1979) First listen.
  13. Now spinning: Lorez Alexandria - How Will I Remember You? (Discovery, 1978)
  14. I had no idea that this existed. Thanks for the heads-up.
  15. R.I.P.
  16. This is a compilation of cuts originally released on two French labels: Barclay and Festival. Rather than a compilation, I'd love to see a comprehensive box set reissue of BP's music on those labels. But I suppose that's unlikely to ever happen. So this'll do. Over the last couple years, Powell has become one of my favorite musicians -- in any genre.
