Gheorghe, you can see the definition of "Acid Jazz" here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid_jazz The "Legends of Acid Jazz" series repackaged soul-jazz and jazz-funk music originally recorded in the late-60s and early-70s for Prestige. Typically, CDs in the series contain 2 complete LPs. Whatever you might want to call it, the music is fabulous -- if you enjoy those jazz sub-genres.

  5. Yep. For the most part, musical scarcity -- like it used to exist -- is a thing of the past. During my college days, when I was first exploring jazz, I could only imagine what music that I read about in magazines & books (from the library!) sounded like. I was limited both by my budget and by the availability of the music. Now, most things are just a few clicks away. Even the rare stuff. Of course, the all-you-can-eat buffet of streaming presents a new & different set of difficulties. As ever, things ain't what they used to be.
