  1. contemplating a career change, are we? Well, all I'm saying is that if someone had charged me prices like that, I'd damn sure be willing to wear the wire!
  2. Yosemite Sam Daffy Duck Porky Pig
  3. Lord Haw-Haw Tokyo Rose Gypsy Rose Lee
  4. Guess I'll have to settle for Portofino; no way I'm living in a studio when I get my million and a half! Yeah, I was surprised at some of this as well. Of course, places like Monaco and such are off of my low brow brain, so I guess that shouldn't surprise me. But I'll admit, London wouldn't have been my first guess.
  5. Boris the Spider Bellboy Maryann with the Shakey Hands
  6. Yeah, I was in my teens the first time around, and Welcome Back Kotter seemed to be typical mindless sitcom stuff to me. But WKRP and Mary Tyler Moore were classics. And of course, Jim Ignatowski remains my own personal idol!
  7. Yeah, I remember social studies. Learning about the great men of our time, like Vince Lombardi...
  8. I'll take this one. I'll be damned if I'm building that freakin' hut and rescue boat...
  9. Tonto Robin Bucky
  10. Had his aftershave lotion once...a gift from my parents longer ago than I care to remember.
  11. Actually, history courses I've been exposed to pretty much ignore the past thirty years, or anything relevant because it's "too controversial". I guarantee we spent more time studying WWII than the cold war or Vietnam back in the seventies. No one wanted to touch Vietnam...
  12. Great. Thanks to this place, I see "Bullitt" and think "Volkswagon"! Vin Virgil Hilts Eric Stoner
  13. Apparently your school concentrated on one small part of history and ignored everything else. As an example, we learned that 1920 actually predated the war...
  14. On the other hand, it looks like a good time to start checking out stock in the sound banks out there...if there are any, that is.

  16. That's a threadkiller if I ever saw one!
  17. Gene Barry Gene Shalit Gene Gene the Dancing Machine
  18. I've never watched the show, but let me know when the gorilla masks show up, and I'll tune in...
  19. I was wondering that myself. Maybe they have better things to do...
  20. I agree. Very few comics (at least in the United States) have maintained the level of sophistication found in Sandman, and very few comic book writers even make the effort, preferring to clean up in the fanboy superhero marketplace. The best of the American marketplace back when I was still reading comics was dominated by Gaiman and Alan Moore.
  21. Don't like Dunkin Donuts, don't like Krispy Kreme, don't even like Shipley's. Give me a good local shop, and I'm happy. Chains are great for some things, but quality is not one of them.
  22. Well, I've owned several cats, and I've never had a boyfriend. But I draw the line at tori amos...
  23. Nothing to add; just another fan who'll miss his work.
  24. Well...now that you mention it, I've got all the issues (in graphic novel reprints), plus the Death miniseries graphic novel. I got rid of most of my comic books and such, so I guess I rate this one pretty high. I also like Gaiman's novels. And (this one's strange) a badly tattered Death t-shirt hanging in the closet. I was wearing it when I took my cat Godzilla in to the vet to be put down years ago, and I don't have the heart to toss it...
