I think the main reason Americans in general don't take in their parents like some cultures is just our mobility. In the past, families stayed in one area, and extended families in one town was the norm. Now, families are scattered all over the country. It certainly makes it a lot more difficult.
Hey, there's no need to buy crap these days, so all those albums with one or two good songs that used to end up on my shelves just don't leave the store any more. Plus it's easier than ever to "try before you buy". I have this fantasy that we will all live to see the death of the manufactured 'musician' due to this, but of course the key word is fantasy...
That was my reaction to the story...they've got to be kidding.
As for the performance, I kind of had this "well, it's nice that someone is trying, but..." feeling. Kind of like me diving. It's nice to see the attempt, but hoo boy...
Same here.
At this point in time (nearing fifty) I'd have to agree. Frankly, it sounds a lot like prison. Hell, might as well go out in a blaze of glory and rob a bank if I'm going to be institutionalized anyway. Anyone know how to mount an automatic weapon on a walker?
Better.
Fresh fries, too.
Yeah, the fries are the best thing they've got. The burger is interesting for a fast food chain in that it has this odd "beef" taste that other places don't have...
