I read the New Yorker piece too. I wanted to give the accuser a fair hearing, but her charge made no sense to me. These guys may be jocks, but they're enrolled in an elite university, are children of privilege, and are very unlikely to have been so besotted with drink, and so overcome with the charms of the accuser that they were willing to squander their lives by engaging in a gang-rape they had no conceivable chance of getting away with. Is this serious? Is my sarcasm meter broken again?

I totally agree. The cool thing about it is that I can enjoy the cheese without being embarrassed by how serious I took it as a kid (unlike, say, Batman...). Good memories and cheese factor combined in one show is damned hard to beat!

Hmmm...counting just states, I've seen Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. The best was probably Illinois in the summer. The worst was probably Illinois in the winter. Go figure... I'd love to see the New Hampshire/Vermont area before I shuffle off, preferably in fall.

Same here; love that hippie episode! I must admit, I enjoy the original series more for the cheese factor than for the quality factor. But don't tell the trekkies; I only enjoy lynch mobs when I'm in the mob!
