  1. That reminds me of Webern's Dodecaphonic Conspiracy. Hilarious, but it created a bit of PC out cry when it appeared years ago. .
  2. I doubt it's gonna take that long. .
  3. Waz a matter Free? Don't have a favorite soap star? I thought everybody does. I always kinda dug Susan Lucci in my "I'd never watch that stuff" way. Maybe we need a poll.
  4. He reminds me of an old customer.
  5. two from the article...dancin' Monk rocks.
  6. I heard Borbetomagus once at the Knit. I brought ear plugs, same for Painkiller! I remember that every time that I heard Elliott Sharp, he was way, way too loud. .

I'm under the impression that there was a bunch of CD releases called NovusSeries70 and they all had similar art work.

No, but I should. I'll add it to the wish list! Coryell has done a bunch of duos and trios. Thanks. the domestic cover: Larry Coryell - Tributaries (With John Scofield & Joe Beck) listening now: sounds good to me, that Ovation 12-string sounds a bit funny, but I'll get used to it.
  9. Man, I would have KILLED to have seen that show!!!! Ha! I knew you'd have a comment, the Manor was right in the neighborhood I grew up in. Another show I remember for being pretty bad was Deep Purple at the Spectrum in Philly during the Perfect Stranger's tour. We got up to the 2nd row for the entire concert and my right ear was in line with Blackmore's amp. That ear stopped working for at least 24 hours. I went these shows with the same woman - her hearing was shot from playing drums for years. It was pretty rough playing in a band with her...also way too loud.
  10. Girls School & Motorhead at the Royal Manor, North Brunswick, NJ sometime around 81-82. ouch.
  11. I thought they were originally graphic titles and they became compositions when Forces in Motion was published. I noticed they became opus when the Mosaic box was announced. They're still compositions here.
  12. Happy Birthday Chris!
  13. The best is OOP.
  14. Maybe you're getting him confused with Iancu Dumitrescu?
  15. I'm not familiar with any solo bass by him. Inner Time II is amazing.
  16. Yeah, his story is pretty sad. At least he got it together to do some touring with DLR. If there's an album of new material, I hope it stands up well to the classic years. .
  17. The Host the Ghost the Most Holy-O! ...have a good un'!
  18. Ah...I'm not too worried about this. .
  19. ZZ Top - Tube Steak Boogie of course.
  20. Post count envy? Most of that happened years ago...apparently some people need more of a life than I do. edit: When you mention "Microtonalist", it sounds like you're not referring to Clem, but to that bitter, unhappy clique of folks who hate music. I see NPR is going to help them become popular with the impressionable youth of today...
  21. Michael Anthony's (Van Halen) bass. I wonder how many times Eddie Van Halen has been in rehab...
  22. In the process thinking good healing thoughts about Jimmy Carl Black, I think it's important to remember one of his essential, important contributions to American culture... Jimmy Carl Black and Eugene Chadbourne
  23. This could be an option for the big O, a new look for the band. Love the fez.
