Best movie about high school

CARRIE! -
Yeah, and I don't know that the organ is a B-3 either. Sounds like it might actually be a Farfisa or Vox or something. It's a really "groovy" sound, if you know what I mean, perfect for a Mediterranian pool party with only beautiful cokeheads allowed (and I mean that as a compliment). I didn't really appreciate the sound of it at first, but the more I grew musically, the more I did. Then I ended up homeless & jobless and moved in w/a guitar player for a few months. This one, the Oscar Moore Tampa Lp, and a few other choice items were my show of appreciation. I wouldn't mind getting another copy, but the disparity between a $3 Camden Lp and a $23 Japanese CD is a bit much for me to swallow right now. Hell, for the $20 difference, I could be a beautiful cokehead, if only for a few hours.

Black College Women Take Aim at Rappers

Hadn't heard of B.E.T. Uncut until this thread (the price of working nights, I suppose), but I tuned in last night just in time to see Mighty Casey's "White Girls" video. In this case, the Mighty Casey does NOT strike out... Offensive, yeah, but truer to life than many might care to admit, and done with morethan a little tongue-in-cheek humor lyrically. Coulda done w/o the blatant fellatio scenes though. Think I'd enjoy the song more w/o the video, but some research tells me that both are hits, so what do I know? That one, however, was an exception. It's often a thin line between "cutting edge", "keepin' it real", "street", etc., and being downright stupid, animalistic, and vulgar. Most of what I saw on the show last night was dangerously close to the latter, with one video (something about a booty-poppin' contest featuring the previously mentioned throwing-money-in-the-crotch shots) being unambiguously so. But the jokes on everybody - there ain't no ho's without no tricks, and it takes a lost soul to be either. Go get'em, crusaders. We the peole need to be confronted, challenged, awakened, and all that good stuff, but we the people don't need mass media images of men thinking with their dicks (and nothing else) and women eager to sell their coochies just to get some bling glamorized as the height of human potential. That's what porn is for. Leave it there. -
Yeah, but it's the "the track lengths are very similar in most cases" (emphasis added) that caught my attention. A few are noticably different, which is what caught my eye. I've heard the Atlantic album, and it's a lot better than one might expect. If the Black Lion thing is the same album, I might look for it cheap.

Personnel is identical, as is track order, but track lenghts aren't. So what's the deal - different takes, different edits/mixes, just what? And why? As always. thanks in advance! Atlantic SD 8235 1. I had this on an old cutout RCA/Camden budget label issue - it's only American appearance as far as I know - before including it in a group of guitar rarities I traded for rent back in the day. It's got kind a Brazillian "au go-go" feel to it, and Kessel plays his Azzoff (always my favorite ax of his ). From Dusty Groove (the BASTARDS!): http://www.dustygroove.com/jazzcd3.htm#48162 Barney Kessel -- Kessel's Kit (aka Guitarra) . . . CD . . . $22.99 RCA Brazil (Japan), 1970 Condition: New Copy One of Barney Kessel's greatest albums ever -- a rare Italian-only session that has a sparkly Brazilian groove! The record was recorded in Rome in 1970, and it's got Kessel's guitar fronting a combo with organ and some very tight percussion, all dancing around in a fast samba mode that's different from virtually anything else he ever recorded. There's loads of original tracks on the set -- like "Freeway", "Lison", "BJ's Samba", and "On the Riviera" -- and the whole thing has a breezy dancing feel that's really wonderful! (Recommended by Musica Loco Mundo!) A bit short on playing time as I recall (under 45 minutes, easily), and a bit pricey as per the Japanese import thing, but for true Kesselheads, it'll be a "must have".

COMPLETE CD UNIVERSE LONEHILL LISTING Looks like a bootleg/pirate label, since some of the material seems to probably lifted from Mosaic sets. The Booker Little looks like a Warwick date and ?. But what's the Lee Morgan & Sonny Criss stuff?

ODDBALL GADGETS, HOBBIES AND FADS

I asked for a Lie Detector game every Christmas and never got one. Got most everything else, but never that. Visited soem family friends one time and their kid had one. I was so juiced that I ate spinich for supper. -
Dizzy's chops were totally shot by then, and the open-ended "free duet" format was not his thing anyway. It's a pretty depressing listen, except for the interviews at the end. I feel the same way about the Terry/Roach duets, but not because of Clark. Max has finally gotten old, and it pains me to hear that. Bowie/Wilson=HELL YEAH!, as does Cherry/Blackwell, although for THAT pairing, I prefer the MU sides to EL CORAZON.

I sent a copu of that photo to my partner Ira Bassett, who's seen a fair share of "odd" brass instruments and accessories (showed him the Eldridge Mosaic cover and he immediately knew what the deal was)m and he was stumped. I've seen rotary-valve flugels that are kinds sideways, but nothing like this. Maybe it was custom-made?

Just call me Dr. Oppenheimer...

Yeah, but liars lie, so go figure. I DO know that Poppa loves mambo. But it takes two to tango, so what's a mother to do?.
-
Stupid? You call a man trying to take solstace in the arums of Morpiumus STUPID? Sir, have you not a heart?
-
If all men were brothers, then my sister would have to be my mother as well, and THAT is unacceptable!
-
Great. Visions of my parents as mammals who stick their tongues into the dirt to eat insects. THAT'LL a-get me to be a-sleepin'.... Still, the evidence is not convincing, so I am not convinced.

I love that song! I love darn near ALL those songs, even the ones that aren't as good as the others.

I dunno, man. That's one weirdass lookin' axe.

It would be easier if I had the record! -
But maybe it is! There's the rub...

I mean, I've been up all day trying to figure this one out, and I GOTTA GET SOME SLEEP!

The Origamissimo.

The obvious answer, but is it the correct one?
