Ordered? Worth it, if so!

I've no doubt that there are a lot of decent Red Sox fans who understand, respect, and follow the generally agreed-upon principles of public decency in the presence of a family audience. Those fans do not seem to be the ones who travelled to Rangers games.
-
As opposed to the Red Sox fans who have travelled to Rangers games in impressive numbers and acted like total dicks, especially after a few beers too many, which was, like, the 3rd inning or so. I mean, I'm not supporting the Rangers right now, for more than one reason, but if and when I resume, I will NEVER AGAIN go to see them play the Red Sox. I'll even go watch the Yankees (whose fans are every bit as obnoxious, but in nowhere near the number). And I used to like the Red Sox. But you know, when you have to leave a game because drunken louts move into seats they didn't buy and start behaving in a manner that has never been acceptable any place other than a backroom bareknuckle fight to the death or something like that...just totally odious, cretinous, uncivilized, sub-human behavior without any sense of surroundings...yes, there were kids there, one of them mine. I can still like the Red Sox, but only as long as there's not live fans involved.

Figured as much, do you have an actual source for that? Who was "Ellen"?
-
Mainstream was a legit label, but that does not mean that Bob Shad was not above the usual practices of the time, if you know what I mean. I think the quest is who was Ellen? R would be Robert, right? I'm looking at a few labels of the Sittin' In With label 78s, and they don't list writing credits, just publishing. yeah, look at this:

How much are you gonna ask for that Hodges? and what condition is it in? -
Bob Shad was directly involved with the original recordings, and Mainstream was a legit label. The Sittin' In With label material was reissued several time on Mainstream LP, although not to this extent. I have it as: but it had a previous life as:

Only been to one WS game, and it was like no other ballgame I've been to, ever. Enjoy, savor every second of it. In fact, come early and stay late, regardless of outcome!

So, are the Astros still cheating, or are they just playing really good ball?

So whoever that is down front is not doing some kind of jigglystomping dance?

Ok, what happened there?

Jimmy Smith at the Organ - Budget LP on Wyncote

For some reason, that's the only Yes record that ever clicked for me. Until it stopped clicking anyway, which was about a year after it clicked. I do remember liking the arrangements. I alos remember totally ignoring the lyrics becausejust because. -
There it is.

No idea. People come to NT from all different places. It was a fluke that we were on the same gig, this band only sometimes hired a bari player, but there was about a six week I typed month, but meant week, sorry) period where they had the budget for it, they gave Frank the call and he took it. He was doing the NT thing at the time, which is kind of a "two different worlds" thing between the school and the working stiff type gigs. But hey, it was a treat, it really was.

Wow, that didn't take long!!!! Congratulations!!!

Mario Rivera could play. Not a bear to poke, not at all.

Going to post the reveal next weekend. Any further guesses and/ or commentary are certainly welcome. #5 is findable, I think, so one last clue - it's a reissued 78, and I have a recording date for it of 1903. It's both the oldest recording and the newest release of this BFT!

I knew Frank for a quick minute when we played some weddings together over a six month or so period. I found him to be a delightful player even in that stilted context. More importantly, I found him to be a gas as a person, an animated conversationalist with a broad knowledge base and an animated wit. People like that, you like to see them do well!
