  1. Sonny Rollins - Mo' from the Vanguard - Blue Note twofer (mono)
  2. Rimsky-Korsokov - The Invisible City of Kitezh (Suite) - Richard Kapp/Philharmonia Hungarica - Vox Turnabout. A very nice piece that doesn't get performed all that often.
  3. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=39729
  4. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds - Capitol (rainbow mono).
  5. Brian Auger's Oblivion Express - Closer To It - RCA Features "Whenever You're Read" followed by "Happiness is Just Around the Bend." Overall, my favorite OE LP.
  6. Tadd Dameron - Fontainebleau - Prestige mono
  7. Baden Powell - Solitude on Guitar - CBS 1971. Continuing my weekend traditions of Brazilian breakfasts!
  8. Out of my price range: http://cgi.ebay.com/BUDDY-COLLETTE-POLYNES...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. Alive and kickin'. The entire crowd was the under-40 tattooed neo-rockabilly subculture. She was great and the crowd went WILD.
  10. An all rockabilly set! She still can sing with that crazy raspy demonic tone that she conjured on those classic rockabilly sides 50 years ago! She signed our mono copy of "Right or Wrong!"
  11. Wanda Jackson - Right or Wrong (side 2- the rockabilly side) - Capitol (rainbow label mono) Autographed by Wanda earlier tonight !!!!!!
  12. Tadd Dameron - A Study in Dameronia - Prestige mono. The missing link between so-called "East Coast" and so-called "West Coast" jazz, perhaps?
  13. Cy Coleman - Cool Coleman - Westminster stereo
  14. Wanda Jackson - Reckless Love Affair - Capitol (Rainbow stereo) This is great: I have what was a radio station copy. During this period of her career, she would do mostly country numbers with one or two wild rockabilly numbers. The last track on side one has this fuzzed out garage guitar riff. Everything else on the album is straight country. I'm putting the LP back and I notice writing on the inner sleeve. It says: Last Song Side 1 No Good. I can just imagine the old hillbilly at the radio station that freaked out when he heard the fuzz guitar.
  15. Joao Gilberto - Brasil (WB, 1981) w/Gilberto Gil, Caetano and Maria Bethania Also Clare Fischer and Bud Shank. Arrangements by The Great Johnny Mandel. Maybe the last time major US and Brasilian artists associated with bossa appeared on a record together.
  16. Spent all his money on the instrument, couldn't afford a proper case. Oh well.
  17. When will they get beyond the obvious and start releasing the cool stuff?
  18. Philosophically, Sonny Bono is GOD.
  19. Friday night rock 'n' roll MONO fest. Select tracks from the MONO versions of: Yesterday and Today Rubber Soul Turn Turn Turn
  20. Herbie Hancock - 70s Blue Note twofer collection - Blue Note Snobs can say what they will, but these collections are great instant gratification one-stop-shopping fixes, even when you have the original LPs.
  21. Think of all the kids with Elgar on their iPods...
  22. If it hasn't been legally addressed in this arena, then you can. And I simply want to know if it's been legally addressed with CD copying.
  23. What "seems obvious" is not "law." WHERE specifically is this addressed, or does it just seem illegal to you because you think it should be?
  24. Unless I missed it, you have not yet cited where this concept is legally addressed, or if anyone has tried to enforce it. I understand the moral side of the question, but you haven't convinced me that it's ILLEGAL. Please enlighten me.
