A stereo copy, unfortunately, but what a nice ((((stereophonic)))) Verve label!
Edit: This must be one of the WORST stereo mixes I've heard on a jazz LP of this era...
Does Bill Evans play piano (uncredited) on side 2 of the "David & Lisa" soundtrack album on AVA? Victor Feldman is the leader on the date, playing vibes, with piano bass and drums. The bass and drums are credited but not the piano. The melodic minor triads the piano player uses over minor ii-V-I progressions are very reminiscent of Bill Evans' playing at the time.
David & Lisa OST, Ava, Stereo. The soundtrack side is sleepy, but the "Jazz impressions of" side, by Victor Feldman, is nice. Is that Bill Evans on piano?
Ramsey Lewis, The Movie Album, Cadet mono.
Discussion of the Bill Evans Ogerman album inspired me to spin this. Not so great, but a few tracks are worthwhile.
The "songs" or the arrangements? I'd say it's a really good selection of songs. I have no idea how they're interpreted, though, having never heard the album.
Sure, den, call it dat.
Seriously, I was simply addressing the irony of reissuing music that is readily available in the dollar bin at every thrift store and used record store...
