I will not be surprised if the EP's you are (trying not to) talking about already sell for out$$$$$$$$$tanding prices in Osaka or Tokyo record shops....

(Epic DG original white label promo) Hampton Hawes Quartet "For Real" (Contemporary original DG yellow label) with this beautiful Roy DuNann sound, warm, clear and crisp...

  8. Yes. Older label have the silver ring (often off centered) and the large drummer. Then the large drummer without the silver ring, then small drummer then mercury label. Don't forget the blue ink on back cover.. depending on which title you are considering, you have somme criteria to determinate what is what....

  21. how is that a second pressing? No "real" deep Grove, typical late reissue. very near an original, but a slight difrence in the deep groove. Samples below are not very clear...the first two are originals DG, the last is repress.

    No; it's Showbiz. Customers buying a (musical) product for reasons that seem good to them. Mosaic eschewing the original artwork etc is an expression of "anti-Showbiz". But they still want your money. MG same as Music Matters. Officially, they are just here for the Love of Music, the Protection of the Art, and to Save the Humanity from barbary and ignorancy. Their customers are Hghly Knowledgable Gentlemen who settle at the highest level of the Occidental Culture ; basically they are Renaissance Men in the XXIème century. But they still want their money. I have no Mosaic box. I do not like this kind of product. But i know it is bad to think that. -_-
