  1. And those things aren’t mutually exclusive, right? No sense? I suppose. Human nature doesn’t always work in that fashion.
  2. He knew something wasn’t right. How many times have we read that Coltrane held his side a lot those last two years? I fully believe the fear of him knowing something was wrong was a foundation for that output, whether a doctor had officially confired that or not.
  3. Quoted for motherfucking truth, at least in my eyes. Very insightful, and very nicely stated. Although I’d add one more word: fear.
  4. Speaking only for myself, no good will lost here. As Jim said, put something out there that I absolutely cannot live without, and hey, take my money, NOW! I think the way they are going about this current set/maybe not set, is rather sad. But it also isn’t grievous enough that I’d simply cut bait on them. They’re flailing in a marketplace that has seemingly passed them by, but that doesn’t diminish their mission statement. Nor my enthusiasm to support it, if the product is to my liking.
  5. Unfortunately, that doesn't put them in any better light...
  6. Agreed. Fundraising goal numbers aren’t something you hide. If nothing else they are motivation. I think the only scenario where you suppress it is when you’re so far from the finish line you’d simply rather hide it, then put some kind of bullshit PR spin on it later when you have to shitcan the entire thing.
  7. That should get Jim’s day off to a rollicking start!
  8. Really?! I did not know that, but I have to admit I’m not really surprised.
  9. My two biggest were Hurricane David in 1979, and Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Both Cat 5’s, and luckily neither were direct hits where we lived at the time. And yes, no power for two weeks would suck major ass. Hell, no power for two days would be awful, especially deep in the heart of either summer or winter.
  10. They actually already do in many vehicles these days. Hell, my son has a 2013 Chrysler 200, and a CD player was an option on that car. One he didn’t get.
  11. Oooooooooo... i need to try that!
  12. Have you had the misfortune of going through a “big one” yet? Hopefully not. You weren’t in Miami for Andrew, were you? That was a monster. Luckily, we only got sideswiped by the northern edge of it where we were.
  13. That’s gonna be a whopper. I don’t envy the folks in Hawaii. I’ve done my time in Hurricane Alley.
  14. If those were available to the public, I'd get them! We always buy the largest bottles they sell. That sounds pretty cool! I always used to say I put Tobacco on everything except breakfast cereal. Ice cream! I'm in!
  15. Oddly enough, as big as a Tobasco fan I am, I’ve still not tried any of the variations. Part of it due to the fact that they only come in the small bottles. That’d be about two uses for me. I need to eventually try them, though.
  16. The only part of that I disagree with is including Tobasco in that group. Tobasco is a completely different animal than the Crystal/Louisiana/Texas Pete/Frank’s/Cholula style of hot sauce. Those are a thicker, milder pepper sauce, whereas Tobasco is more like a really hot vinegar. And much hotter than the others. I love them all, regardless. Yep. As Jim said, it’s hard to go wrong with any of them. I’ve had garbage hot sauces, and none of these qualify. They are all top shelf. Louisiana Gold is quite good, also.
  17. Looks like The Silly Chile in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We bought the hottest sauce they carried extracted from the Carolina Reaper. Yeah, that Reaper Pepper sauce will make you question why you were even born. I also bought their Reaper salsa. I have to mix it in with my regular Pace Picante at a ratio ofabout 20:1, and even then I’m sweating heavily by the time I’m done with it.
  18. Our local burrito joint makes their sauce in house as well. It is smoking hot, and incredibly tasty!
  19. I’ll have to check that one out. We’re ordering hot sauce in a couple of weeks, and need $70 bucks worth to get free shipping. Hopefully the company we order from carries it. Cholula was my favorite until we got the Marie Sharps. My wife and I sometimes combine the two. They make one hell of an awesome flavor together!
  20. My wife and I are hot sauce afficinados to a certain extent. And recently discovered our new favorite hot sauce: Marie Sharp’s Habanero Pepper Sauce. So what is your favorite?
  21. But their streaming service still pays out better than Spotify. So I’m wondering what the issue is?
  22. In fairness, I’m sure some of those manufacturers DO put a lot of thought and care into their cables. Unfortunately, they also put a lot of hopes, dreams, wishes, and prayers into them. All of which are inaudible, BTW.
  23. I’ll believe the Apple download thing when it actually happens. The demise of the iTunes store has been breathlessly rumored for several years.
  24. Forrest Whitaker played Bird, though. So there’s that.
  25. Space X and Tesla Motors seems to be doing well enough. He does tend to be a bit pie in the sky at times. But hey, so was Steve Jobs. That seemed to work out well enough.
