  1. Brother, we were snowed out in Kansas City yesterday.
  2. I don't think it has anything to do with the names involved, it's more likely because it's a box set, which traditionally doesn't have the widest appeal. And CDs in general aren't huge sellers these days. Hell, how long has the Complete Live At The Plugged Nickel been OOP. A decade or so?
  3. $300 for 128gb really isn’t that bad. Hell my 16gb 3rd gen was $200.
  4. Mmmmmm...bulgogi. My wife makes an ass kicking spicy pork bulgogi. The sushi place I mentioned before also has a limited Korean menu. Their bulgogi and bi bim bop are phenomenal. Our sleepy little town used to be the butt of bad food jokes, and lined with crappy chain joints. But in the past two or three years we’ve had a lot of GREAT independents pop up, really changing the culture for the better.
  5. I’ve actually never had Korean BBQ. I’ve heard it’s very good. We have a Mongolian BBQ place a half hour up the road from us. It was neither good nor bad when ate there. Oddly enough, we do have a sushi place here in town that would hold its own in any big city.
  6. WAY out of the question. I’d miss having the music, but paying that amount of money for a CD wouldn’t even be a consideration. And it’s not even an affordability issue. For me it’s a common sense issue.
  7. I love pretty much all Asian cuisine. My favorites being Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai.
  8. Fascinating! I have wondered how our hillbilly infested burg of 40,000 went from 0 to 3 Thai places over the last few years. Coincidentally, we ate at one of them yesterday for the first time. It’s now my favorite joint in town.
  9. Why in the hell would anyone pay $100 for a CD?!
  10. https://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/merchandise/McIntosh-Clock Functionality cost $300 more.
  11. “Supports MQA, tomorrows hi-res technology”!
  12. The social retardation (<—literal, not derogatory) of the majority of the members there keeps me from even lurking. But I can only imagine the masturbatory glee some of them are expressing.
  13. It’s been up for a couple of weeks. There is zero indication it’s an April Fool’s joke.
  14. It’s a steal! And is there a worse expression than man-cave? Well, maybe “butthurt”.
  15. Amy. But they are obviously incorrect. Very strange.
  16. Most importantly, it has a trigger input so you don’t have to worry about turning it on manually! https://www.mcintoshlabs.com/-/media/Files/mcintoshlabs/DocumentMaster/us/lb100og-01.ashx
  17. Somebody with more money than common sense, I suppose. Or those that buy into other audio silliness like cable lifters, sonic pucks, etc. Although, to their credit at least they aren’t claiming this does anything.
  18. I was turned onto this a few weeks ago. As far as I can tell, it is legit.
  19. https://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/merchandise/LB100 One can only wonder how airy this makes the soundstage. McIntosh has truly jumped the shark with this one.
  20. I doubt you could go wrong with that. Sony has been one of the leaders in portable media for several decades. Hell, they pretty much pioneered it. I had a third gen iPod touch. They’re bulletproof, yet a bit pricey. My money says you’d hear little to no difference between the two.
  21. He was always a fan favorite, though. As he should be. Class act.
  22. “Hi-res” digital music. Most folks smelled that garbage out years ago. Unless it is a specific remaster that you cannot get anywhere else, you’re paying more for something you could have gotten for less.
  23. That goddamn digital strikezone overlay makes the game unwatchable on TV.
  24. You gave me the wrong spelling of her first name, MG. Apple Music has 13 albums from her, just not the one you're looking for.
