Marty, I don't know about that bunt attempt, it looked like it moved way inside and down at the last second, wasn't a straight pitch at all, from what I could see.... Congrats to the Yankees of the first decade of the 21st century, Go Rays! Though if the Sox win, and the Dodgers get in, I will root for the Sox, do NOT want to see a greedy asshole like Manny get a ring as a reward for tanking and nearly ruining his (former)team's chance to win. Well if Manny gets to the WS against the Sox he will get a ring !!!..no matter who wins......

Some knock Piniella in the NW because of the way pitchers were handled. Some also feel he should have won more with the talent he had. Personally I enjoyed his time in Seattle a great deal and was sorry to see him go. Had there been a wild card in '86 the Yanks would have won it. And he did a hell of a job with the Reds. Darrell was '75. It was McNamara in '86. Oh Yeah , i could i forget McNamara !!!!....he actually looked like my dad . Damn , McNamara blew it for the Sox

The Manager of The Red Sox lost the 86 WS ....i blocked his name out (was it Darrell Johnson) he should of put Stapleton at first , he did that whole year for defensive purposes. And he should of left Clemens in the game (unless Rocket asked out ?????????)

They have Furcal for the first time since May as well, but the other key for the Dodgers was those experienced older players getting injured. The Dodgers scuffled when they were playing Andruw Jones, Nomar, Kent and Pierre. Notice that none of those old fogies are starting now. Adding Manny of course has helped immensely but having Ethier, Kemp, and Looney not have their at bats taken away by those other bums has made them a much better team. Hell, with Andruw in the lineup it was like batting 2 pitchers. Getting Kent off the field mean has improved the pitching so much you can easily afford a less powerful bat there. It was Kent who suggested a war between the older vs. younger players when Grady Little was managing. Had Little been so lucky to have had a similar rash of injuries with those older farts he may had better success. Is NomaH a Mascot ? I didn't see last nights game did he play , does he play?

Maybe K-Rod is spent ?....62 saves out of what 69 chances ? See thats why the Sox are careful with Papelbon . K-Rod never pitched multiple innings like Papelbon did, but their stats are similar: K-Rod: 68 1/3 IP, 1170 pitches Paps: 69 1/3 IP, 1051 pitches So K-Rod was less efficient than Papelbon over the same number of innings. What's amazing is that he had 69 save attempts and thew less than 69 innings! How does that happen? Was the manager so intent on getting him the save record that he didn't even make him start the ninth inning of a save situation? That's ridiculous, and proves that K-Rod shouldn't get any MVP votes. Those are amazing stats , i didn't know that .

It's real! I have been to St. Maarten and when you take off they warn you that the plane will make a dramatic bank to the right , because of a mountain ( maybe large hill) on the island . The island sucks by the way ...they ripped off my walkman in the room and we went down to investigate at the front desk Conveniently they could not speak English.( they spoke very good English at the check in ) and even better English when we checked out and they needed more Dinero !
